At the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis Technical Training Center, kids learn about entrepreneurship, marketing, and customer service. So when the non-profit introduced its Garden to Groceries culinary program, starting a Tower Farm made perfect sense.
In a small greenhouse, Garden to Groceries trainees grow up to 400 heads of lettuce and a bounty of herbs every month — which they then use in catering services and sell to the Memphis community.
